Install, connect, approve

    Install

    A Windows installer, no admin rights needed. myide Desktop joins your Start menu and updates in place, without losing anything.

  2. 02

    Sign in with your browser

    One click opens myide.tech in your usual browser: check the code shown, then click “Authorize this PC”. Google sign-in and two-factor authentication included.

  3. 03

    Approve a folder

    Your Desktop or any folder you pick, confirmed by a Windows dialog on the PC. The approval stays until you remove it.

List, read, create, rename, move, tidy up — only in the approved folders. Desktop system files are protected.

Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Minutes, reports, presentations, spreadsheets: the agent creates the documents, then re-reads what it saved before it says it’s done.

Real Excel and Access

With Microsoft Office installed: recalculation by Excel, charts and pivot tables on a fresh copy of your workbooks, reading your Access databases.

A separate browser

Edge in a dedicated profile, limited to the sites you allow — for example Google Colab and Drive for your notebooks.

  • The PC decides

    The website can ask for access; only a Windows dialog, on the PC, grants it.

  • Everything can be undone

    A copy is kept before every change or deletion. “Undo all” restores the files, each one verified.

  • Sensitive actions ask first

    Deleting a file, opening a document, sending, sharing or paying: a confirmation every time.

  • One click to disconnect

    Every connected PC is listed in My account. “Disconnect” cuts its access immediately.

Frequently asked questions

+Do I need myide Desktop to use myide?

No. myide is complete in the browser: editor, terminal, preview and agent. myide Desktop adds work on your PC’s files and on Office.

+Can the agent see my whole PC?

No. It only sees the folders approved on the PC, with the capabilities you chose (files, documents, browser). It has no terminal and no general disk access.

+What if I change my mind?

Remove a folder or disconnect the PC in My account → myide Desktop. A mission’s changes can be undone in one click until you keep them.

+Windows says “Windows protected your PC”?

The publisher signature is being validated. Click “More info”, then “Run anyway”.

+What about Mac?

The Mac version is in the works. Meanwhile, myide runs fully in Safari, Chrome or Firefox.
